JOHANNESBURG - Renowned broadcast journalist Tshidi Madia will be celebrated in a memorial service on Tuesday after her sudden passing.

Madia died in hospital last week after a short illness.

At the time of her passing, she was the associate editor for politics at Eyewitness News (EWN).

She has been remembered for her fierce style of journalism, her patriotism and warmth.

On Tuesday, guests from all spheres of society will gather at the Primedia Broadcasting headquarters - where she ended her illustrious career - to celebrate of her life.

Over 300 people are expected to honour Madia’s legacy that has been described as rich and inimitable.

While Monday’s memorial ceremony is expected to begin at midday, Madia’s final farewell will be held on Thursday, in Germiston.
