Four-year old girl recovering in hospital after being caught in the crossfire in Atlantis

CAPE TOWN -A four-year-old girl is recovering in hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound to her stomach when suspects opened fire and killed a 31-year-old man in Atlantis.
 
The incident happened on Wednesday as learners made their way to school, and the victim was approached by one armed assailant dressed in black. 
 
The victim died after being shot in the head and leg, while the little girl was rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention.  
 
The Community Policing Forum in the area believes the attack is gang-related. 

"This is a total no-go at this stage. People are still shocked and very disappointed in this type of incidents that occur in our area due to gang violence," said the CPF's Noel Cloete.
