CAPE TOWN - A man has died after a ski boat capsized in Agulhas, southeast of Cape Town.
The National Sea and Rescue Institute (NSRI) responded to eyewitness reports of a capsized boat on Saturday.
The boat had four people on board - a 50-year-old father, his two teenage daughters and a male in his 20s.
All four people were rescued from the water, but the father appeared to be unresponsive.
NSRI spokesperson Craig Lambinon said the individuals were brought to an NSRI rescue base, where a doctor performed CPR on the man.
"After all efforts to resuscitate the man were exhausted, sadly, the man was declared deceased. The two daughters and the male friend were not injured. Attempts to recover the capsized casualty boat are in progress. The body of the deceased man was taken into the care of government health forensic pathology services."
