The search for missing kitesurfer Graham Howes has unfortunately ended in tragedy, after his body was recovered by the NSRI.
Howes was reported missing by his family after he did not return from his kiteboarding session in Bloubergstrand on Sunday afternoon.
The NSRI launched a search and rescue mission, and a Western Cape Government Health EMS Metro Rescue drone unit was dispatched.
Howes was unfortunately recovered deceased at sea during the search efforts on Monday.
“There has been a lot of local outpouring of condolences to the family and friends of Graham Howes. It is such a sad story. He was obviously doing something he loved.”
