CAPE TOWN - A grade 10 pupil from a high school in Mitchells Plain has allegedly stabbed four of his classmates on Wednesday.
The motive for the attacks is unclear at this stage.
The injured pupils were rushed to hospital.
Western Cape Education Department (WCED) spokesperson Millicent Merton: "A grade 10 learner has been suspended pending a disciplinary hearing after he allegedly stabbed four boys in his class today. The injured learners received medical attention and a social worker provided counselling support to the learners involved in the incident. Ongoing counselling support will also be provided to the learners who witnessed the incident."
