Four dogs have been returned home after being poisoned in Lwandle.
18 dogs were targeted in an attack in the area on Wednesday and 10 pets died.
The Animal Welfare Society in Helderberg responded to the distress calls and treated 8 sick dogs at their facilities.
The organisation said the remaining sick dogs are showing signs of improvement and are expected to return home soon.
Inspectors said the dogs were fed poisoned meat, claims the SPCA is also investigating.

Inspector Kyle Girodo for the organisation said that two dogs are still in critical condition.
"It's all the drips, it’s the gelco’s, it's all the medication needed to try and save these dogs lives and as it is financially, we are drowning, we are barely keeping our head above water and we are appealing to the public to please help with donations."
