Overcome Heights residents say the rampant shootings in the area have turned them into prisoners in their own homes.

Marr said the violence in the area has gotten out of hand.

"Gang violence is something that is completely out of control and the police have admitted that they don't have a plan. This morning, another person was shot in Overcome Heights. It's just absolutely endless. Last night, there were two shootings that spilled over to Seawinds, shooting of two people youngsters whose lives were lost."

She said calls for more police resources seem to have fallen on deaf ears.
