SA protestors demand govt hold accountable local companies that support Israel financially

Pro-Palestinian protestors are calling for Israel to be banned from participating in FIFA events, among other demands directed at the South African government.
Around 5,000 demonstrators marched to Parliament in Cape Town on Saturday to show their support for the Palestinian people.

Scores of protestors gathered outside Parliament in Cape Town’s CBD, many waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans such as "Death to the IDF" and "Free Palestine".
Led by a convoy of bikers, the group wrote messages in chalk at the gates of Parliament, including "Stop killing children" and "Stop starving children".
The protestors handed over a memorandum of demands, which also calls on government to hold South African companies that support Israel financially accountable.
