Taylor Swift achieved the biggest debut album week in music history.

Her 15th number one album, The Life of a Showgirl, has sold over four million album units (sales and streaming data) in a single week.

"It’s the largest sum of weekly units since electronic data began in 1991, and it is a big historic milestone for Taylor Swift," says radio host Zweli Mbhele.

This follows the number one she had at the box office one week ago with Taylor Swift: The Official Release Part of a Showgirl, a theatrical presentation of the album.

She also recently announced a six-part documentary of her Eras Tour, set to air on Disney+ in December.

"And there is going to be an additional Eras Tour [concert film], and this is going to be the final show of the Eras Tour, which was shot in Vancouver in December 2023," he says.
