Police remain on the hunt for Lucky “Tshepo” Molefe and Thapelo Molefe, the nephew and son of murder-accused Katiso “KT” Molefe, respectively, as they continue to evade arrest.
The pair is wanted in connection with a grand scheme that saw Transnet award a tender to a company accused of massive price inflation.

The issue was flagged by Vereeniging-based company Q-Tech, which has a four-decade-long relationship with Transnet. After Q-Tech blew the whistle on the irregularities regarding the tender, their employee, Armand Swart, was killed in a well-orchestrated murder outside their premises in April last year.
Now, it has emerged that members of the Molefe family have been involved in acts of defeating the ends of justice relating to the arrests of Lucky and Thapelo.
In a voice note played before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on Thursday, Katiso's girlfriend, Fundiswa, can be heard instructing Lucky’s sister, Lebo, to tell him to lie low as police were after him.
According to Witness B, the investigating officer in the Swart case, who has been testifying before the commission, Lucky is referred to as "Tshepo" by his family.
In the recording, Fundiswa provides clear instructions for evasion: “Lebo, can you please tell Tshepo that he needs to stay far away from Soweto, and he must not come to work until further notice. He must not be found anywhere, and his phones must remain switched off.
“Everything to do with him must not be found until further notice. The lawyer says so, and the brothers say so. They say if he does not have a place to stay, they will organise one for him to stay there for a while. So please, can you pass this message to Tshepo.”
Fundiswa went on to advise on preventative measures Lucky could take to avoid getting caught by the police.
“I told him that he must remove the tracker from the RS4 because they want it. If he wants to go to the mall, he needs to wear a cap or put on some kind of headgear or spectacles. So when Tshepo wants to get drunk, tell him that I said he must please buy a bottle and drink at home, please, until further notice.”
