More than 140,000 matriculants in Gauteng are preparing to write their English Paper 3.
Senior officials from the Department of Education are on Thursday morning at Forte Secondary in Dobsenville, Soweto, to check if all things are in order.

Provincial chief director of examination and assessment, Nadine Pote, said it had taken them more than two years of preparation to get to this stage for the class of 2025.
"So much preparation has gone in. It's actually a two-year cycle to get us to this point, to be able to deliver and make sure that there's a question paper on each candidate's desk the day that they are scheduled to write an examination paper."
