ActionSA has raised concerns over ongoing delays in appointing a new city manager for Johannesburg.
The City Council was expected to vote on a report recommending the reappointment of Floyd Brink to the position.

However, the process was stalled after African National Congress (ANC) members failed to reach consensus on whether to support Brink's return.
ActionSA caucus leader in Johannesburg, Marcel Coutriers, warns that the delay in filling the post could negatively impact service delivery.
"This position is paramount to the effective running of the city, ensuring administrative stability, accountability and service delivery. Yet, instead of urgency and cooperation, the sitting was dominated by over three hours of caucus breaks, political theatrics and procedural delays."
