The mother of a newborn baby who was kidnapped is distressed after yet another delay in the court matter related to the ordeal.

Kidnapping-accused Sameemah Jacobs made a brief appearance in the Bellville Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Jacobs allegedly abducted nine-day-old Imaad Sharmar from his mother at Middestad Mall, in Bellville, while pretending she was a volunteer for a non-profit organisation.

Baby Imaad's mother, Imaan Sharmar, has bemoaned yet another postponement in the kidnapping case related to her child's abduction.

Three weeks ago, Jacobs made a request for her bail conditions to be amended.

She told the court she wants to fetch her belongings at her former residence in Mitchells Plain, despite strict bail conditions that prohibit her from being in the area, where baby Imaad andhis mother reside.

Sharmar said she's losing faith in the justice system: "I do feel like there is some sort of a consideration towards her relaxation of bail conditions... She's the one that gets to call all the shots and I don't get it... and she's just freelancing her like she did nothing wrong."

Prosecutor Salaahudeen Simon said the State will oppose Jacobs' request to visit Mitchells Plain.

The matter was postponed to November 6th for Jacobs' lawyer to submit the application.
