The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has heard that police found guns at the home of alleged criminal, Katiso "KT" Molefe.
This revelation came from Captain Maxwell Wanda, a former member of the political killings task team, who is testifying before the commission on Wednesday morning.
Wanda provided details about the day Molefe was arrested in December last year in connection with the murder of Vereeniging engineer, Armand Swart.
Swart’s company had reportedly exposed corruption in a Transnet tender that had been awarded to Molefe’s nephew, Lucky Molefe, who remains at large.
Captain Wanda outlined what police found during the search of Molefe’s home.
"He [Witness A] showed us a fleet of cars. Some were on the carport and some inside the garage. Amongst those cars, there was a white BMW. On the back seat, there was a rifle and three or four rifle magazines loaded with ammunition."
