Still Good Mondays, a collaboration between Primedia Cares, 947, and the online platform Still Good, is bringing nutritious food to those in need.
The platform connects consumers with discounted surplus groceries from over 100 stores at a discounted rate.
This week saw the team at the Sister of Mercy Immaculata Shelter in Rosebank, where they dropped off food bags.

"There are very few things that break my heart more than families not being able to get a meal every single day," says 947’s Zweli Mbhele. "There are children who go to school hungry. There are people who don’t know when they are going to be able to eat again."
He adds, "I believe that every South African needs to have at least one meal a day. That is why I am so excited to be part of this initiative with Still Good."
"More than anything, it is just exciting to give that little bit of hope to the people who are hopeless, where they feel that they don’t know when their next ‘yes’ is, what their next move is or how they are going to survive the next day," says Mbhele.
