Online platform Still Good, 947, and Primedia Cares have partnered to bring nutritious food to those in need with Still Good Mondays.

The platform connects consumers with discounted surplus groceries that are approaching their sell-by date, but are perfectly fine to eat.

Over 100 stores, including Spar and Pick'n Pay, have signed on, offering a variety of mystery value bags at a lower cost.

This partnership takes it a step further by connecting non-profits, homeless shelters, and vulnerable community members.

Still Good Mondays start on 27 October with the Sisters of Mercy Immaculata Shelter.

"Our drive is to help every day South Africans afford food again, but there is a big part of our society that can’t afford food at all," says Still Good founder Steffen Burrows.

"There is a huge opportunity for people who have something to give back, and we want to provide that platform," he adds.
