National police commissioner Fannie Masemola has assured Reiger Park residents that police resources will be bolstered to investigate the recent mass shooting.
Six people were shot and killed in the Ekurhuleni township on Saturday evening.
Three others were injured in the drive by shooting.
Masemola visited the local police station on Sunday to receive an update on the situation and address the community.
Many of the residents who gathered at the police station say they are still struggling to come to terms with the horrific incident.
Masemola says they are working closely with community leaders to address their concerns
"The first decision is the police team that is deployed here for stabilization, they will remain here and work here to make sure that there is stability in this community." Masemola said.
