The matter involving Crime Intelligence boss Dumisani Khumalo has been postponed in the Pretoria Magistrates Court after the accused requested more details from prosecutors.
Khumalo and his six co-accused appeared on charges of fraud and corruption linked to the appointment of 30-year-old Dineo Mokwele to an executive position within Crime Intelligence despite having no policing experience.
The accused had asked the State to give further particulars, which prosecutors responded to on Thursday.
The matter was postponed to February to allow the accused to consult with their lawyers.

But the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) said that Mokwele made another application based on the State’s response.
"They are going to make another application for the court to compel the State to provide them with further particulars. You may have heard that our response to them was based on the fact that the particulars that they have requested had nothing to do with the case in hand and did not form part of the evidence we presented," said Henry Mamothame.
