The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, has penned an emotional piece to remember living veterans and those who have fallen in war.
His heartfelt essay titled 'The Bond, The Banter, The Bavery: What it means to be British – by Prince Harry' was released ahead of Remembrance Day.
The former soldier expressed his pride in the British military, adding that despite living in the US, “Britain is, and always will be, the country I proudly served and fought for”.
Prince Harry served in the British Army for a decade, from 2005 to 2015.
He was deployed to Afghanistan twice, first from 2007 to 2008 as a forward air controller, and again from 2012 to 2013 as an Apache helicopter pilot.
He urged the public to speak to more veterans to hear their stories and 'remind them their service still matters'.
