The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have laid a police complaint against Senzo Mchunu's chief of staff, Cedric Nkabinde, for misleading Parliament's police inquiry.
The party said that Nkabinde misrepresented the facts in his sworn statement around specific dates related to Mchunu and his engagements with controversial North West businessman Brown Mogotsi.

The Ad Hoc Committee investigating police corruption on Thursday also postponed its hearing with Nkabinde due to the discrepancies in his statement.
Members of the committee slammed Cedric Nkabinde, accusing him of deliberately misleading the committee when he submitted incorrect dates about key events.
Members from most parties agreed that Nkabinde should be released and come back on a later date with the correct information after admitting that he "thumb sucked" the information.
The EFF has taken it a step further by laying perjury charge against Nkabinde at the Cape Town Central police station.
“We had to adjourn because it came to light that his statement, and in his own words he said he was thumb sucking and it looked like it was extremely intentional. You can't have someone who's been in the police since 2004 and he does not understand the seriousness of giving us inaccurate statements,” said EFF ad hoc committee member Leigh Ann Mathys.
The committee is also seeking further legal advice before Nkabinde returns to continue his testimony with a revised statement.
