Further evidence related to the takedown operation at the home of murder-accused Katiso “KT” Molefe in December 2024 will be presented before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on Tuesday.
The commission is set to resume following a two-day break.
Last week, self-proclaimed Crime Intelligence agent Brown Mogotsi testified over three days from Tuesday to Thursday.
While the Madlanga Commission remains mum on the identity of Tuesday's witness, EWN understands the testimony will relate to the arrest of Molefe.
Molefe was arrested at his Sandhurst mansion in December in a clandestine operation by members of the KwaZulu-Natal Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) and the Special Task Force.
Previous testimony referred to interference from members of the Hawks and Gauteng Traffic Police during the arrest.
The PKTT raided Molefe’s home in connection with the murder of Vereeniging engineer Armand Swart.
Swart was killed in April 2024 in relation to a Transnet tender.
Investigations revealed that Molefe’s son, Thapelo, and nephew, Lucky, colluded in awarding the tender to the company, SK Group.
Lucky was a Transnet employee at the time.
Both Lucky and Thapelo remain wanted by police.
