Fuel prices to increase on 3 December

While November saw a welcome reduction in fuel prices, South Africa is looking at price hikes this December.
The latest data from the Central Energy Fund points to a small price hike of about 19 to 42 cents per litre for petrol, while diesel is looking at a steeper climb of between 72 and 89 cents per litre.
Estimates are as follows:
Petrol 93 – increase of 19 cents per litre
Petrol 95 – increase of 24 cents per litre
Diesel 0.05% (wholesale) – increase of 72 cents per litre
Diesel 0.005% (wholesale) – increase of 89 cents per litre
The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources is set to announce the official fuel price adjustments in the coming days, with implementation on 3 December.
