National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola has revealed a shocking detail concerning the recent mass shooting in Saulsville, west of Pretoria: one of the identified suspects was recently released on parole.
The brutal attack unfolded at a hostel tavern at 4 am on Saturday. Three gunmen stormed the premises and opened fire on patrons, leaving a devastating toll of 12 people dead.
Compounding the tragedy, several victims were minors sleeping in a bedroom inside the tavern. The deceased includes children aged 3, 12, and 16.

While the three suspects remain at large, the police have confirmed that their identities are now known.
Commissioner Masemola provided details on the parolee's history:
"The parolee came out of jail in September 2025. We are still verifying the full conviction in terms of charges, but there is attempted murder and extortion-related crimes."
Authorities are urgently pursuing the suspects in connection with the horrific massacre.
