Ladles of Love Founder Danny Diliberto said that the fight against child hunger is not a seasonal commitment its a daily one.
The founder of the NPO highlighted the organisation's Nourish Our Children programme, feeding a total of 10,000 children two meals a day.
He said that the programme runs at a cost of R20-million rand a year and urged Capetonians to consider monthly donations through a debit order.
Diliberto said that R300 a month can feed a child and keep hope alive.
"We are saying sponsor a child as long as you can. Give us a monthly donation. We've got the platform. You know, a child, for example, that is hungry, that's a pain that the child feels and that child can't focus. That child is constantly crying."
