Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire FC have completed the signing of South African winger Puso Dithejane from TS Galaxy, continuing their recruitment drive ahead of the 2026 season.

The club stated, "We’re adding one of South Africa’s best young attacking players to our team. His dynamic energy will add depth to our squad this season, while also setting the foundation for him to continue developing and strengthening the team for many seasons to come.”

The 21-year-old joins on a long-term deal that runs through the 2029/30 campaign, with an option for an additional season, and will occupy a U-22 initiative slot.

Dithejane arrives in the United States after an impressive spell with Galaxy, where he emerged as one of the Betway Premiership’s standout young attackers.

This season, he has been a consistent starter, contributing goals and assists, including a memorable hat-trick earlier in the campaign, and earning multiple Player of the Month awards.

The move sees Dithejane become the second South African at Chicago Fire FC following the arrival of Bafana Bafana defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi, as the club looks to inject pace, creativity and youthful energy into its squad.
