The weekend will be one of rain and thunderstorms for Johannesburg and Pretoria, while Cape Town stays mostly cloudy and windy with morning showers.

Johannesburg will be warm with clouds, showers and afternoon thunderstorms over the next few days.

Expect highs around 27–30 °C and lows near 15–16 °C. Winds are light, about 10 km/h from the NE to NNW, with occasional gusts higher during storms.

Rain chances climb in the afternoon and early evening, typical of summer patterns.

Pretoria’s forecast calls for hot afternoons with isolated thunderstorms and partly cloudy skies.

Daytime temperatures will hover around 28–32 °C, dropping to 17–18 °C overnight. Winds from the NE at around 10–15 km/h will be common, with stronger gusts possible around storm cells.

In Cape Town, conditions stay milder and breezier compared with the interior.

Highs will be near 22–24 °C and lows about 15–16 °C. Winds from the SSE/S at 20–25 km/h are likely, easing slightly at times but keeping coastal conditions gusty. Clouds and partial sunshine prevail, with a slight chance of isolated showers.
