Chief Administrator Mcebo Dlamini said it was important to continually invest in infrastructure as the stadium and football mean a lot to the community.
“The talent is there, but what is often missing is the infrastructure. We are rooted in the township, and this stadium, it carries history, significance, and responsibility.”
The first fixture at the new-look stadium takes place on Saturday between Pirates and Magesi FC in the Betway Premiership.
Fans seated in the west stands will be greeted by newly installed bold red seats.
