Tracey Lange is recognising Leading Ladies in local communities throughout Women's Month - women who actively go out into their communities with one goal: to make a positive impact.

Today, Tracey's leading lady is Jorgina Heugh, a powerhouse from Atlantis. She’s a mom, beauty entrepreneur, and community builder who founded Adore Her By G, a business that goes beyond lashes and press-on nails, it's also about uplifting women through workshops, pop-ups, and mentorship.

Heugh uses her business as a movement of empowerment and healing for other women.

So far, Heugh has helped equip over 10,000 women with the skills and confidence to embrace their own beauty at her pop-ups and workshops since she started her beauty business in 2022.

Heugh's has won many accolades for her small business and is a shining example of turning pain into purpose and dreams into impact. Her latest award includes Entrepreneurship Resilience which "means everything," she says.

Heugh explains what inspired her to start not only her business but her journey of empowering others to become beauty babes too...

"It was realising that there's a huge gap in the market and that not everybody is able to experience having a pair of lashes... that was the moment I realised I need to cater to my people."

"In 2022, I realised a lot of people were buying from me but still didn't know how to do the application so I realised now is your time to teach everybody how to do it and save more money... for me it's about that saying: giving someone a fish, they eat for that moment but if you teach them how to fish, they eat for a lifetime."

"I've gained more from teaching people and upskilling them and watch people be empowered to do their own lashes. My business is working so closely with women... a lot of us are moms, putting their family first... I realised, I need to create a space for women to come together, put themselves first, and make them realise that it's okay to put themselves first, unwind, take a seat and at the same time empower themselves by learning a new skill."

Heugh explains her biggest dream... 

"My biggest dream right now is to export and sell my brand outside the country and to have my own manufacturing company in South Africa that would do lashes and specialise in press-on-nails as well."
