Mamelodi double murder: Prosecutors believe accused planned the criminality

The prosecutors in the case against a Mamelodi man accused of murdering two young women have told the magistrates court that he intentionally committed the murders.
On Wednesday, 38-year-old Tebogo Mnisi appeared in the dock on charges of murder in connection with the deaths of cousins Baleseng and Tshiamo Moramaga.
A 27-year-old man, Desmond Senong, was also shot and severely injured.
In addition to two counts of premeditated murder and one count of attempted murder, Mnisi is also accused of being in possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition - which he allegedly used to murder Tshiamo and Baleseng.
The State’s prosecutor, Tshepo Mphake, read the charges to him.
“It being alleged that on the 26th of October 2025 in the district of Mamelodi, the accused did unlawfully have in his possession a 9mm pistol in the make unknown.”
Mnisi has opted for a Legal Aid lawyer and has informed the court that he has no previous convictions or pending matters against him.
He will remain behind bars until January after he abandoned bail.
