CAPE TOWN - University of Cape Town (UCT) students will have to contend with some online lectures after protests at the campus.
On Monday, groups of students staged protests outside the university’s administration buildings.
They’re calling for a change in outstanding debt and student housing.
It's unclear how long the online lectures will be in place.
"The UCT executive regrets the impact this has had on the university community and appreciates the patience, the tolerance and the understanding shown so far," said UCT spokesperson, Elijah Moholola.
