Mtshakazi adds that in terms of looks, the car is similar to a Jeep Wrangler.

"A lot of styling cues have been taken from that Jeep Wrangler, the Ford Bronco, the interior looking a bit like Mercedes-Benz aesthetics."

In terms of pricing, you are looking at a minimum spend of R725,950.

Overall, Mtshakazi has lots of praise for the GWM Tank 300 but is concerned about the fuel consumption.

"Personally, for a hybrid electric vehicle, I expected much less fuel consumption. They claim 8,4L per 100, but I have been doing nothing less than 13L per 100 and I think that for me is quite thirsty, especially for a hybrid vehicle."
