Zikalala says infrastructure projects will no longer be delayed

DURBAN - Public Works Minister Sihle Zikalala says infrastructure projects will no longer be delayed as government is routing out criminal elements of groups known as construction mafias.
Zikalala officially opened the newly refurbished Chatsworth Magistrates Court in Durban on Friday.
With many projects of this nature having been hijacked in the past, Zikalala announced a joint effort with police assured to improve the situation.
“Work is continuing with the coordination between us and the police ministry, there are a number of people who have been arrested for extortion and bribes and we believe that we will be able to deal with criminal acts."
