Man (26) wanted for triple murder killed in shootout with police in KZN

CAPE TOWN - A 26-year-old suspect wanted in connection with a triple murder was killed in a shootout with KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) South African Police Service (SAPS) members earlier on Sunday in Inanda.
The KZN police said the suspect was also linked to a case of attempted murder.
According to police, the officials were confronted by the heavily armed man when they forced their way into the house where he was reportedly hiding.
Provincial SAPS spokesperson, Jay Naicker:
"None of the police officers were injured. An unlicensed 9-millimetre pistol was found in his possession. Members of IPID [Independent Police Investigative Directorate] were immediately informed of the incident and attended the crime scene."
