Loxtonia Cider Cherry Trail Run 2024 

When: Saturday, 9 November

Where: Loxtonia Cider Cherry Trail Run

The Loxtonia Cider Cherry Trail Run is set against the beautiful backdrop of Loxtonia Farm in Ceres. 

The annual event celebrates the start of summer and cherry season with scenic trail runs that cater to all fitness levels.

Distances

6 km Fun Run/Walk: R180, 8am
12 km Trail Run: R210, 7:45am
21 km Trail Run: R260, 7:30am

Registration information

Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm and Saturday opens from 6:.30 am at the Loxtonia Cider Tasting Room. 

Late Entries: 

Available on race day from 5:30 am to 6:00 am

Entry fees are non-refundable and include a goodie bag and a finisher cider (with non-alcoholic options). 

After your run, enjoy a fun-filled day with food trucks, coffee, cherries, live music, and refreshing drinks including cider, beer, wine, and gin—all while relaxing among the orchards.

Self-regulation workshop by The Organic Shop

Join the signature spicy pilates class followed by wellness tips and refreshments and is suitable for all fitness levels, including pregnant people. 

This event is designed to connect you with like-minded individuals on a similar health journey.

YogaSlackers Slackro & Slackline Workshops

Acrobatics and yoga combine when international YogaSlackers duo, Sam Salwei and Raquel Hernandez-Cruz, host two exciting workshops designed for all skill levels in Cape Town.

Workshop 1: Slackro - Slackline Yoga and AcroYoga Foundations 

This open-level class explores the relationship between Slackline Yoga and AcroYoga. 

Participants will practice foundational poses on the ground, then transition to the slackline, and finally perform them with a partner in AcroYoga. 

This progressive approach allows everyone to build their skills at their own pace, making it accessible for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

  • Time: 1 pm - 3 pm (2 hours) 
  • Workshop 2: Slackline Yoga - Foundations 

Workshop 2: Slackline Yoga - Foundations 

Dive into the transformative practice of Slackline Yoga, also known as Slackasana.

This workshop focuses on balance and mental focus while practising yoga poses on a slackline.

It caters to all skill levels and includes foundational elements such as kneeling, sitting, standing poses, arm balances, and inversions. 

  • Time: 3:30 pm - 5 pm (1.5 hours)
  • Cost: R150 per person 

Special offer: Book both workshops for R300 per person. 

Additional event information: 

  • No prior experience in slacklining or yoga is necessary; all are welcome.
  • Participants are encouraged to wear activewear and bring a warm layer.
