Whether you are looking for a permanent residence or holiday home, Mauritius has a bit of everything.

Relebogile Mabotja chats to Rinie Boshoff, Development Manager at Pam Golding Properties Mauritius.

‘Listing Mauritius’ showcases the very best in luxury properties that the island has to offer.

Typical buyers are those looking for permanent residence and those seeking a holiday home.

Homes are typically bought in US dollars or Euros and can range from $160,000 and well into the millions depending on the facilities and location.

She says there are three types of buyers:

  • Investment buyers – from $160,000
  • Permanent buyers – from $375,000
  • Luxury holiday home buyers – from $1 million
“Mauritius, everyone thinks is only a holiday destination, but we actually live here, we work on the island and we have a life here just as normal as any other place.”
– Rinie Boshoff, Development Manager – Pam Golding Properties Mauritius
“On the West Coast, we’ve got beautiful mountains so you get these villas that are caved into the mountain… then you get the kind of property that is on the beach… and that’s what Mauritius is all about.”
– Rinie Boshoff, Development Manager – Pam Golding Properties Mauritius
“You can’t just compare it back to the South African property price, you need to see what facilities the estate offers you. A lot of these homes are centralised living, it’s got clubhouses, family facilities, you don’t actually need to get away from the resort, you can just enjoy all the facilities on site.”
