CAPE TOWN -The bodies of two people who drowned in KwaZulu-Natal’s coastal areas have been found.
The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) said the remains of a teenager who went missing on Wednesday were discovered on Pennington Beach on the south coast on Friday.
Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said the boy was swimming with friends when he disappeared in the water.
"The body of the teenager identified by family was taken into care of government health forensic and pathology services and police."
In an unrelated incident, Lambinon said the body of an adult male was recovered at Mzamba River mouth also on Friday.
"Suspected to be the man who went missing at Margate Pier on Saturday the 16th of November. Formal identification by family is in progress. In both of these cases, inquest dockets have been opened by police."
