Local fisherman dies on Seaview's shoreline near Gqeberha

CAPE TOWN - A local fisherman has died on the shoreline in Seaview near Gqeberha.
The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) received reports from private security of a 53-year-old male on the shoreline on Thursday.
It appears that the man was angling during the night and did not return home.

His wife found him and flagged a security vehicle.
The NSRI's Craig Lambinon explained what happened upon arriving at the scene.
“On arrival on the scene the body of the man was located and recovered from the shoreline. The body of the man has been taken into the care of Government Health Forensic Pathology Services. Police are investigating and a Police Inquest docket has been opened. Condolences are conveyed to the family and friends of the deceased man.”
