Watch: Ballerina dances on the edge of a cruise ship's bilge in Antarctic Ocean

Dauberville was filmed dancing on the edge of a cruise ship's bilge, inches from Antarctica’s icy waters in a classic white tutu, perched and on her points, dancing gracefully without a slip or fall into the icy ocean.

The visually stunning moment was so awe-inspiring that some social media couldn’t believe it was real. Nevertheless, it is authentic and not AI-generated. 

Dauberville told reporters that ballet is beautiful and an art form which she enjoys doing in interesting spaces. 

"I think it's good for ballet, for young people to see something like this... catch their attention and draw people into ballet," says Friedman.
