JOHANNESBURG - Deputy President Paul Mashatile has called on all South Africans to embrace their individual responsibility in shaping the nation’s future by exercising their democratic rights.
Mashatile delivered the Human Rights Day address in Kariega, in the Eastern Cape, on Friday, under the theme of Deepening a Culture of Social Justice and Human Rights.

The deputy president said that fostering a culture of social justice and human rights required active participation from every citizen.
"The task before us requires a unified effort, a partnership between government, civil society, and also businesspeople. We want to make sure that businesspeople are also there at that national dialogue."
