JOHANNESBURG - It is a star-studded evening in Sandton tonight as politics is set to clash with comedy during the roast of politician, Helen Zille.

The Democratic Alliance’s (DA) federal chairperson will be on the hot seat at the event, while a celebrity panel takes turns roasting her through satire.

Zille’s long-standing friend and also a well-known politician, Patricia de Lille, will be one of the panellists expected to unmask Zille by sharing unknown funny facts about her.

From strait jackets to Helen’s glittery dress, the Sandton Convention Centre is abuzz with excitement for the fire this roast is set to bring.

Several prominent figures from the entertainment industry are in attendance, many expressing excitement to see Zille in a different light.

Known for her famous clapbacks on social media platforms, Zille has promised she will not hold back tonight.

"I'm always so sweet to everyone, no one knows I can be nasty."
