Thailand makes history at 72nd Miss World pageant

Opal Suchata Chuangsri has made history for Thailand.

The 21-year-old International Relations student and model became the first Thai woman to win the Miss World crown.

The 72nd Miss World pageant wrapped up on Saturday in Telangana, India, after a month-long journey that brought together 108 contestants from around the globe. 

Along the way, they took part in cultural events, charity work, and projects focused on making a positive impact.

Ethiopia’s Hasset Dereje Admassu was named first runner-up, and Poland’s Maja Klajda came in third.
