Police investigating murder of elderly man in Tulbagh

CAPE TOWN - Police are investigating the murder of an elderly man in the Cape Winelands area of Tulbagh.
 
The incident happened on Monday.
  
Police spokesperson Joseph Swartbooi said: "Upon arrival in Piet Retief Street at about 12:15, they discovered the body of a man inside a motor vehicle.

"The victim, aged 73, was declared deceased on the scene by the medical personnel. The motive for this attack is believed to be robbery."
 
Police then launched a manhunt and arrested a 29-year-old suspect.
 
The man is expected to appear in the Tulbagh Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.
