Ramaphosa disagrees with Batohi's comments that the NPA has been infiltrated by corrupt individuals

This was suggested by National Director of Public Prosecutions, Shamila Batohi.
She made the comments during a television interview, which sparked outrage from various political parties.
While she later clarified that she did not mean to use the word "Infiltrate," concerns have been raised about her ability to positively transform the NPA .
Ramaphosa expressed his thoughts on Batohi’s remarks while speaking in Pretoria on Tuesday
Calls for the dismissal of Batohi have grown louder following the NPA's mishandling of several cases, including that of televangelist Timothy Omotoso.
This has frustrated Batohi, as she has pointed to corrupt conduct among some prosecutors within the NPA.
Ramaphosa disagrees and has instead highlighted work done by Batohi to stabilise the organisation.
"She is facing a number of challenges but the NPA has really done considerable work to stabilise itself as well as to go one with various prosecutions. Quite often we look at where there is failure or mistake and think the whole system is not working. "
Ramaphosa and Batohi are set to meet to discuss the various challenges facing the NPA,
