Higher education dept meeting with family of WSU employee killed in Mthatha

JOHANNESBURG - The Department of Higher Education and the Walter Sisulu University (WSU) are meeting with the family of a staff member who was shot and killed.

The WSU employee was murdered on Thursday.

Eastern Cape police are investigating the motive behind the attack.

Police discovered the body of the staff member in a stationary vehicle on the university’s premises.

According to preliminary forensic analysis, the victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Police the identity of the staff member will not be released at this stage.
