JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng police are investigating a fire incident that claimed the lives of two people in Ekurhuleni.
Over the weekend, at least eight people died from three separate fire incidents in the metro.

Seven of the people who lost their lives were children between the ages of 2 and 10.
Emergency Management Services (EMS) spokesperson Maswati Mdluli urged residents to always practise caution when using heating devices.
"Communities are reminded to use heating appliances with caution during this winter as many of these incidents can be avoided by making sure that all these heating and lighting devices are attended to when in use."
