NSRI searches for a missing fisherman swept off the rocks in Gordon’s Bay
The 43-year-old fisherman, from Blue Downs, was swept off the rocks while fishing in-between Gordon's Bay and the Steenbras River Mouth.

CAPE TOWN - The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), along with other local authorities, is searching for a man who was swept off the rocks in Gordon’s Bay on Saturday.
The 43-year-old fisherman, from Blue Downs, was swept off the rocks while fishing between Gordons Bay and the Steenbras River Mouth.
An NSRI rescue craft has been launched along with a rescue vehicle with swimmers to conduct an extensive air, sea and shoreline search.
Spokesperson for the NSRI, Craig Lambinon, says police have opened an investigation into the incident.
“The EMS/AMS Skymed rescue helicopter was activated by Metro EMS control. Police, water policing and diving services were alerted. On arrival on the scene, a search commenced for the missing man. Water policing and diving services are tasked with ongoing search efforts.”
