JOHANNESBURG - The National Consumer Commission (NCC) has announced another recall of some popular vehicles due to safety concerns.

The commission said it was notified by suppliers about various defaults in several cars.
Spokesperson Phetho Ntaba urges affected motorists to take their vehicles to relevant dealerships.
“Toyota informed the commission that they are recalling their Hino 500 series buses. These buses were manufactured or made available from the 5th of July 2018 up until the 12th of August 2025. The issue there, they say these buses may have been manufactured with a drag link that was not torqued correctly and, in some cases, they said the split pins may be missing.”
