CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape Department of Education (WCED) says it’s formulated plan to address the issues raised by pupils from Vista High School in Bo-Kaap.
A group of learners caused disruptions at the school on Tuesday to highlight their concerns.
The department met with parents on Wednesday morning to address the latest incident and discuss the way forward.

Despite Tuesday's disruptions, classes continued at Vista High School in Bo-Kaap on Wednesday without any disruptions.
Officials from the Western Cape Education Department, as well as its district office, met with parents on Wednesday morning to outline their plan.
The plan will focus on the high teacher turnover rates, as well as the lack of academic support.
The department’s Bronagh Hammond explained: "Now, this includes teacher development programmes, telematics programme, the Back-on-Track programme, and after school weekend and holiday tutoring programmes. The WCED is also providing counselling support."
Hammond said that no further disruptions were expected and disciplinary action would be taken against pupils who do so.
