Four dead in three separate incidents in Wallacedene, Kraaifontein

CAPE TOWN - Four people have been killed in three separate incidents in Wallacedene, Kraaifontein.

In the first shooting, a man was gunned down in the Mhongqo informal settlement around 1am on Sunday. Roughly two hours later, police were called to a second crime scene nearby, where two more men had been shot and killed.

In a separate incident, police have confirmed that a man who was stabbed in the chest in the Covid informal settlement on Saturday died shortly after being admitted to the hospital.

Police spokesperson Novela Potelwa said investigations are underway, and the motives for the attacks are still unknown.

"Following three separate shooting incidents in Wallacedene, Kraaifontein, on Sunday morning, all three incidents occurred after 1 am, and the motive is under investigation. No arrests have been affected yet; additional police have since been deployed in the area.”
