National Consumer Commission recalls Volkswagen Amarok vehicles over brake issues

More than 300 Volkswagen Amarok vehicles have been recalled by the National Consumer Commission (NCC) due to brake issues. 

In a statement released today, the commission said VW South Africa informed it about mechanical issues affecting their braking system.

This is the second recall of VW vehicles this month.

NCC spokesperson Phetho Ntaba is urging all affected motorists to take their vehicles to an approved VW dealership. 

"The NNC reminds consumers that product recalls are vital to ensure the safety of products in the marketplace, and prompt action is essential. The NNC is monitoring this recall in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act."
